Roblox is a global community for users of all ages. Therefore, promotions within your game should be suitable for all audiences by default.
If certain features, such as paid random items, are restricted in certain locations, Roblox provides the PolicyService API to help ensure that those items are only shown to eligible users. This API returns whether a user is eligible for specific items or features based on their:
- Location
- Age
- Platform
Using PolicyService
You must integrate the PolicyService API into your game to meet your compliance obligations, which includes determining:
- Whether the user is eligible for subscriptions.
- Whether the user is allowed paid random items (e.g., no paid random items for users in Belgium).
- Whether the user is allowed paid item trading.
- Whether the user is allowed to see immersive ads.
- Whether the user is eligible to purchase commerce products.
If a user can use Robux (or something else that was acquired with Robux) to get a random reward, you are required to use PolicyService to block this feature for users who are not permitted to use random items in exchange for Robux.
Community-Friendly Messaging
Avoid using pushy or urgent messages when interacting with minors. High-pressure language can be overwhelming and is not considered a best practice for younger audiences.
