Roblox Studio is the application where users can create and publish games, including in collaboration with other users (also known as creators) on Roblox. Parental controls allows parents to manage who their child can collaborate with in Roblox Studio.
Parents and creators under 16 can manage these settings through the Roblox App. Once a setting is adjusted, it remains in effect indefinitely until a parent changes it or the creator turns 16.
Adjust Live Collaboration Settings
- Ensure you have a linked parent account.
- Open the Roblox App and navigate to Settings.
- Select Parental Controls.
- Scroll to Live collaboration in Studio.
- For creators, selecting an option sends a request to the linked parent account for approval.
For parents, selecting an option changes the child's permissions immediately.
Collaboration options
When managing these permissions, you can choose from four settings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| All age groups | Allows collaboration with any creator outside than the user's age group. |
| Similar age groups or trusted friends | The default setting. Allows collaboration with creators of a similar age or those marked as trusted friends. |
| Similar age groups | Limits collaboration strictly to creators around the same age. |
| No one | Disables the ability to use Team Create with any other creators. |
