You can customize the appearance of the application on your device / browser by choosing between Light, Dark, or System themes.
On Mobile (iOS/Android)
These steps apply to the dedicated application installed on your mobile device (phone or tablet)
- Log in to your account (If you're having trouble, use these steps for recovering your password)
- Navigate to the More page
- Tap on the Settings tile
- Tap on Device preferences
- Select your Device level theme:
- System: Automatically matches the theme currently set in your mobile device’s operating system
- Dark: Sets the app to Dark Mode
- Light: Sets the app to Light Mode
Note: This setting only changes the theme on the device you are currently using
On Desktop (App)
These steps apply to the dedicated application installed on your desktop device.
- Log in to your account. (If you're having trouble, use these steps for recovering your password)
- Click the More icon (three dots: ...) in the left navigation panel
- Select Settings
- Go to the Device preferences tab
- Locate the Device level theme setting and click the dropdown menu
- Select your preferred theme:
- System: Automatically matches the theme currently set in your computer's operating system
- Dark: Sets the app to Dark Mode
- Light: Sets the app to Light Mode
Note: This setting only changes the theme on the device you are currently using.
On Web Browser
These steps apply when you are using the service through a web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
- Log in to your account. (If you're having trouble, use these steps for recovering your password)
- Click the Settings icon (gear icon) located in the upper-right corner of the site
- Select Settings from the menu
- Go to the Browser preferences tab
- Locate the Theme setting and click the dropdown menu
- Select your preferred theme:
- System: Automatically matches the theme currently set in your web browser
- Light: Sets the site to Light Mode
- Dark: Sets the site to Dark Mode
Note: This setting only changes the theme on the device you are currently using.
On Console (Xbox & PlayStation)
Roblox currently only supports Dark mode on console.
On VR
Roblox currently only supports Dark mode on VR.
