Every item on Roblox has a details page. It shows what the item is, how much it costs, and whether you can buy, trade, or resell it. Open a details page by selecting an item in the Marketplace or in someone's inventory.
What's on the page
- Item name: Shown to the right of the picture.
- Type: Tells you what the item is (hat, gear, decal, etc.). If you found the item through search, check if the type matches what you want before you buy.
- Tradable: Shows whether the item can be traded. If it says Yes, the item is a Limited or Limited U and can be traded with other players.
- Description: A short note about the item. Select More to read the full text if it is cut off.
If an item, its title, or its description breaks the Roblox Community Standards, select Report Abuse to tell our moderators.
Viewing the item
Under the title you'll see a picture of the item. Use the 2D / 3D button in the lower-right corner to change the view. With the 3D model you can:
- Click and drag to rotate it.
- Use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
Select Try On (or tap the item in the app) to see how it looks on your avatar. For animations, use the play and stop controls in the lower-right corner of the preview. For animation packs, use the buttons along the bottom to switch animations.
Limited and Limited U items
Some items show a Limited or Limited U tag under the picture:
- Limited: Sold for a limited time.
- Limited U: Sold until the limited supply runs out.
Once these items are no longer sold by Roblox, players can resell their own copies to each other. To resell, you need a Roblox Plus (or legacy Premium) subscription, and the item must clear a holding period of up to 30 days. See How to Sell Items.
Buying an item
Look for the Buy button next to the price. If you have enough Robux (your balance is shown in the top-right corner), select Buy to purchase. If the button is faded, the item is not for sale right now.
Purchases are final. Check the confirmation screen carefully before you buy. Once you confirm, Roblox cannot issue a refund.
Buying a Limited or Limited U item
For Limited items no longer sold by Roblox, the price shown is the lowest price a player is currently asking. Selecting Buy purchases the item at that price. These pages also show two extra sections:
- Resellers: The players selling the item, listed from the lowest price to the highest.
- Price Chart: The item's average price over time. Use the drop-down to view 30, 90, or 180 days.
