On Roblox, you can build worlds, play games, and be creative. You can also make friends with other Roblox users and stay connected with them. You can have up to 1,000 friends.
If you know who you want to add as a friend, search for their username in the Search field at the top of the screen. You can also meet new people in games and groups.
What do friends do?
When you add someone as a friend, they appear in your Friends section. To go to their profile, select their name in this section.
You can also:
- Create private servers that only your friends can join.
- Allow only your friends to communicate with you in certain situations. To change this setting, go to the Privacy & content restrictions tab on your Settings page.
How do I send a friend request?
- Go to the person's profile. To find it, enter their username in the search bar at the top of the screen, and then select the People category. Select their username.
- On their profile, select Add Friend. If you don't see this option, this person is already your friend.
What happens after I send my request?
The other person can accept or decline your request.
- If they accept it, you get a notification that they accepted your friend request.
A person may decline a request because they don't remember you or because they selected the wrong option. You can send another friend request. However, don't send too many requests to the same person.
How do I check my friend requests?
To view your requests, select Add Friends. Then, accept or decline each request.
If you don't see a number, you don't have any pending friend requests.
Note: Friend requests expire after 2 years.
How do I remove a friend?
- Go to the person's profile.
- Select the More button (the three dots …) in their profile box.
- Select Unfriend. This person is removed from your friends list.
Why wasn't my friend request delivered?
A friend request may not be delivered if the sender or recipient isn't eligible. This can happen for these reasons:
- The sender or recipient has reached the maximum number of friends or friend requests.
- Our systems detect possible bot activity.
- For users in Australia: To comply with local regulations, users who haven't completed an age check or are under 16 may not receive friend requests from adults 18 and over, or from users who haven't completed an age check.
If a friend request isn't delivered for one of these reasons, you can:
- Ask the other person to send you a friend request.
- Make sure that both accounts have fewer than the maximum number of friends.
- Send the request again later.
