These Referral Program Terms (“Terms”) apply to eligible Roblox Plus subscribers who initiate a referral (each, a “Referrer”) and invited individuals who receive such referral (each, a “Referee”). Collectively, Referrers and Referees are referred to as “Participants.”
For purposes of these Terms, the “Referral Program” means the promotional initiative operated by Roblox that enables eligible Referrers to distribute referral links and permits qualified Referees to potentially earn rewards upon fulfilling the conditions specified herein, as determined by Roblox. The Referral Program is subject to change at the sole discretion of Roblox.
- Eligibility. To participate in the Referral Program, each Participant must maintain a Roblox account in good standing. A Referrer must maintain an active, paid Roblox Plus subscription. A Referee must be a first-time subscriber to Roblox Plus. Individuals who purchase, or have at any point in the past purchased, an active paid subscription to Roblox Plus are ineligible to participate as a Referee and receive a reward. Roblox reserves the right to limit participation or modify these eligibility criteria at any time.
- Referral Mechanisms. To initiate a referral, a Referrer must share their unique, personal referral link or code generated by Roblox. A referral will qualify for potential rewards only if the Referee initiates enrollment by clicking through that specific referral link and successfully completes the purchase requirements established by Roblox for the program. In the event a Referee receives multiple referral links, promotional credit will be awarded solely to the owner of the link registered during the final conversion and checkout event.
- Qualifying Transactions. A Referee may register for a Roblox Plus subscription, including through an initial promotional free trial if offered; however, no referral reward will vest or be issued to either Participant unless and until the Referee successfully completes their first paid subscription cycle payment. Furthermore, both Participants must maintain an active, paid Roblox subscription at the time the reward is processed and issued to receive it. Failure by either Participant to maintain an active subscription status prior to the payout event will result in the forfeiture of the reward by both parties.
- Promotional Rewards. Referral rewards are promotional incentives, possess no cash or fiat currency value, and will be determined and disclosed by Roblox at the time of the referral offer. Upon a Referee successfully completing a qualifying subscription purchase, the applicable reward will be credited to both Participants' accounts, subject to the active subscription condition. A Referee is limited to one (1) promotional referral reward per account lifetime. Except where required by law, rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed or traded outside of official platform features.
- Mandatory Public Disclosures. By participating in the Referral Program, each Referrer agrees to comply with all applicable consumer protection laws and endorsement guidelines, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials. When sharing a referral link, you must clearly, conspicuously, and immediately adjacent to the link disclose the financial incentive associated with the referral.
- Prohibited Conduct and Enforcement. Participants are prohibited from engaging in self-referral schemes, creating alternative accounts to generate rewards, or utilizing the Referral Program in an abusive, fraudulent, or deceptive manner. The distribution of referral links via automated methods, scripts, bots, paid search engine marketing, public coupon or deal aggregation websites, or unsolicited mass messaging is prohibited. Roblox reserves the right to disqualify referrals, withhold or delay disbursements, or temporarily or permanently revoke rewards and account access in cases of suspected fraud, automated manipulation, bank chargebacks, or violations of any applicable platform terms.
- Data Privacy. Roblox will not disclose personal, identifiable, or detailed transaction information between Participants. Participants acknowledge that generic information, such as referral link conversion successfully occurred or that a reward was issued, may be shared.
- Tax Obligations. Each Participant is solely and exclusively responsible for evaluating, reporting, and paying any personal federal, state, local, or international tax liabilities, duties, or financial reporting obligations that may arise from the receipt, holding, or use of promotional rewards.
- Supplemental Terms and Amendment. These Terms supplement, and do not supersede, any other Roblox agreements, policies, or rules that apply to your account, including the Roblox Terms of Use, Roblox Privacy Policy, Roblox Subscription Terms, and Community Standards. Roblox reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program or these Terms at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice, including by changing reward values, adding user caps, or modifying program conditions.
