You can sell Limited and Limited U items you own for Robux. Other players buy them from you, and the Robux is added to your balance after a short wait. This is called reselling.

What are Limited and Limited U items?
Only Limited and Limited U items can be resold. These are collectible avatar items:
- Limited: First sold like a normal item, with no strict limit on how many were made. Once it goes off-sale, it becomes collectible.
- Limited U ("Limited Unique"): Sold in a fixed number of copies. Each copy has a unique serial number (like #45 of 100).
You can spot one by the Limited or Limited U tag under the item's picture on the Marketplace or its details page.
How do I get a Limited to resell?
Buy one from the Marketplace first — either from Roblox while it is still on sale, or from another player on the item's details page (choose the lowest price you're happy with in the resellers list). What you need to resell
- A subscription: You need an active Roblox Plus subscription to resell items.
- A Limited or Limited U item that has cleared its holding period (see below).
How to list an item for sale
- Go to the item's Details page.
- Scroll to the Owned Items section, under the price chart.
- If you own more than one copy, choose the copy you want to sell.
- Select Sell next to that copy.
- Enter your price.
- Select Sell Now to list it.
Set your price carefully. If you set a price too low, the item may sell right away. Roblox cannot reverse the sale or return the item.
When can I sell? (Holding period)
After you buy a Limited or Limited U item, it enters a holding period of up to 30 days. You cannot resell the item until the holding period ends.
When do I get my Robux?
When your item sells, the Robux is not added right away. It first appears as Pending.
- Once the holding period ends, the Robux moves to your balance.
- Track your sales and pending Robux on your My Transactions page.
Regional rules
- Japan: Users in Japan can only resell Limited and Limited U items originally made by Roblox.
- South Korea: Reselling is currently not available for users in South Korea.
