This Policy supplements the Roblox Privacy and Cookie Policy, which contains additional information about Roblox’s processing of Personal Information.
Data Collected
The Roblox DevRel Discord Bot collects the following data, which may contain Personal Information, to detect Roblox Developer game update announcements in Discord servers:
-
Discord Server Information
- Server ID (snowflake) and Server Name: This data helps us identify which Roblox experience(s) a specific Discord server may represent and track relevant activity within the server.
-
Message Content
- Message Content, Channel Name, Author ID, and Author Name: This data is used to identify relevant Roblox game update announcements. It may also help a Roblox DevRel team member reach out for further clarifications if needed.
By joining this server, you understand and consent to the collection of data described in this Bot Privacy Policy.
Data Collection Methods
The Bot directly collects information listed above after it is installed in a server. It uses heuristics to identify relevant message content in Discord servers. The heuristics (which are subject to change) may include but are not limited to:
- Messages authored by an owner or manager of the server to ensure that the message source is official.
- Messages containing specific keywords such as "update," "patch," "release," or "launch."
- Messages posted in channels that do not contain keywords such as "trade," "verify," or "question."
- Messages exceeding a minimum length of 200 characters.
Purpose of Data Collection
The data collected by the Bot is used to:
- Automate the process of detecting and identifying Roblox game update announcements.
- Inform featured spots for Roblox Homepage Today's Picks based on relevant game updates and announcements.
Data Retention
We retain the collected information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of understanding Roblox game update history. Data will be removed when it is no longer relevant or applicable to the original purpose for which it was collected.

If you live in certain regions, you may have rights regarding the processing of your Personal Information, including:
- Access: You have the right to request access to the data we have collected through the Bot.
- Correction: If you believe any data collected is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request a correction.
