Overview
This consumer review policy applies to all users in the UK and EU that wish to leave a review on Roblox.
At Roblox, we strive to ensure that all reviews are genuine, relevant, lawful and not misleading.
Roblox does not tolerate reviews that are fake or misleading, for example because they have been provided dishonestly or because they are not reflective of a genuine experience.
When submitting any review on Roblox, including thumbs up or down, you must comply with the requirements in this policy and the Roblox Community Standards. To help ensure a safe and trustworthy experience, reviews that do not meet the requirements in this consumer review policy are not permitted on Roblox. Roblox encourages all compliant reviews, whether they are positive or negative.
If you have any queries about this policy, you can contact support here.
How to submit a review
Users can thumbs up or down Creator Store assets they purchased or acquired (if the asset is available for free) by going directly to the asset’s page. Only reviews from users who have used this asset are shown. Users can also thumbs up or down Experiences they played.
- Remember that all reviews must be genuine, relevant, lawful and not misleading.
Review and complaints
Reviews and complaints have different purposes, so you can raise a complaint and leave a thumbs up or down on an Experience or Creator Store asset. The main purpose of customer reviews is to share your feedback on Experiences you played or assets you purchased on Creator Store and Marketplace. The main purpose of a complaint is to raise an issue with Roblox to address the issue for you. If you want to raise a complaint about your experience, you can do so in the normal way through contacting support here.
What kind of reviews are prohibited on Roblox?
- Reviews that are not genuine. Reviews must be authentic and honest.
- Where a reviewer has been given a reward (for example, a gift) in return for writing a positive review.
- Reviews that do not relate to the exact Experience on Roblox.
Roblox review moderation
For thumbs up and down reviews for Experiences, users are required to (1) have a verified email and (2) have played the experience for several minutes before they are allowed to thumbs up/down.
For Creator Store, users must own the asset before leaving a thumbs up or down.
To prevent fake reviews, Roblox has systems in place to prevent assets or experiences from being spammed and removes thumbs up/down votes from bots.
Imported Reviews
For Experiences and Creator Store thumbs up and down votes, the overall rating is determined based on how many thumbs up/down the experience or marketplace item receives and the overall percentage is based on the overall number of thumbs up or down given.
Incentivised Reviews
Roblox does permit incentivised reviews, but they are clearly labeled.
- Concealed incentivised reviews are always prohibited.
